United Holdings sponsors at Dubai International Basketball Tournament

United Holdings signed recently an agreement with the Basketball Federation, by virtue of which the company will officially sponsor the 19th Dubai International Basketball Tournament.

CEO Abbas Kiani who represented United Holdings by appending his signature in presence of the federation’s senior officials, commented on the sponsorship by saying, “United Holdings is proud to support the 19th Dubai International Basketball Tournament; this initiative which aims at encouraging sports in the UAE reflects our company’s spirit, characterized by dynamism and continuous search for excellence.”

United Holdings’ recent move follows series of other sponsorships of sport activities, such as its sponsorship of world-famous Zaabeel Racing International Corporation, the Horseracing team of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.

It is to mention that United Holdings has been an active player in the UAE investment market, with main focus on the real estate sector. It has recently announced its investment plan by virtue of which it will invest 19.8 billion dirhams. Some of the company’s largest investments include projects in the three Palms, the Burj Dubai Down Town, the Dubai Water Front and other developments on Sheikh Zayed Road and others premium locations.

On the other hand, the company is planning to diversify its investment portfolio to include other promising sectors such as hospitality, financial services and industry.

Expressing his excitement to be part of this Basketball international event, Kiani said in presence of Ismail Al Gargawi, President of the Basketball Federation and other officials, “Our sponsorship of the tournament as official sponsor reflects the great respect we have for this event which has proven its success the world over. A success that is largely due to the continuous support of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the great efforts exerted by the federation’s officials.
